ACT Celebrates 40 Years of Addiction Treatment

The ACT center at Ogden Regional opened in 1973 when the hospital recognized alcohol had become a problem in Utah, and Weber County in particular, and the need for treatment was not being met. At that time, there was no center in the Intermountain-area hospitals to which patients with an alcohol problem could turn.

Two hospitals become only heart-care certified in Utah

Ogden Regional Medical Center and Brigham City Community Hospital have been awarded Chest Pain Center Accreditation by the Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care. Achieving accreditation means both hospitals have health care providers who consistently show expertise in the timely diagnosis and treatment of chest pain and acute heart attacks.
